Senior Software Engineer 2

This position will be hybrid to Wayne, PA / Austin, TX / Naperville, IL

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer 2 to participate in an agile development scrum team designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting elegant, scalable and reliable software solutions for our customers. This is a fast-paced and exciting role that provides opportunities to work on a wide array of projects.

This role reports to the Director of Development and works closely with Development, Architecture, Product, Customer Success, SassIO and Strategic Partners to deliver solutions that simplify the daily work life of the front line of education.

ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate the ability to acquire new skills and techniques and apply them within assigned engineering tasksPerform analysis and troubleshooting of highly advanced software constructsChampion the adoption of coding standard practices and procedures by the teamParticipate in the research, design, and development of complex software componentsLead an initiative to refactor and modernize an existing .NET Web Form based codebaseConstruct unit tests over complex algorithms to ensure a high degree of quality in codeCollaborate with other engineers on the team and across the technology organizationProvide high level estimates at a project levelParticipate in functional requirements review meetings with Product OwnersMentor other team membersChallenge the team to think about code-quality in terms of long-term maintainabilityTake an active role in ensuring the team meets sprint commitmentsParticipate in cross-functional meetingsProactively convey details regarding project status and deliverables to key stakeholders in a timely mannerQualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years' experience in the following is required:Agile methodologyC#, ASP. Net 4.5+, .NET CoreMS SQL relational database design and queryingJavaScript Framework (jQuery, Angular 16+, Node)ASP .NET Web FormsAmazon Web Services (S3, EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS, etc.)Microservice and Event Driven architecturesSaaS/Multi-tenant platformCaching Platforms (Redis/Memcached)Experience with the following is preferred:Jira, GitHub, Office365, Slack, Zoom, Confluence
