As a transport driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting cars and associated equipment, tools and materials to and from race and/or test venues for race related events. This position requires fluctuating weekday and weekend work based on event schedules; home time will vary. When not driving for race or test events, our transport drivers work in the shop preparing transporter and equipment for upcoming events.
Who You AreAbility to perform basic mechanical tasksStrong organizational skills, an eye for detail and a sense of urgencyBasic computer skillsAbility to understand and execute on established work proceduresTeam player: ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others.Possess a High School diploma or equivalentPossess and maintain a valid driver's licenseAbility to lift and move at least 50 poundsExperience operating a forklift, skid steer and snowplow; preferredMust possess a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)Must provide or be able to obtain a current Medical Examiner's Safety CertificateMust have a clean driving recordProfessional Motorsports experience preferred; will consider other driving experience such as car hauler drivingWhat You'll Do
Maintain cleanliness and general presentation of the transporter for the team and guestsInventory management of the transporter and equipmentFollow all applicable DOT, DMV, State and Federal highway safety rules and regulationsMeet schedules, timelines and deadlines appropriately and safelyEnsure that all mobile pit equipment is stocked properlyEnsure the truck is in safe operating conditionComplete all logs and records in a timely mannerClean tires, trucks trailers, race cars and shopLoad and unload trucks and trailers before and after eventPerform minor repairsGeneral cleaning of building/shop area and outdoor maintenanceReport work status and special problems to manager in a timely fashionEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, coworkers, and other departmentsMaintain a clean, safe working environmentPerform other related duties as assigned or requested.What We'll Do
