POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible transporting residents and for the maintenance and upkeep of program's vehicles.

Salary: $34,307

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTransports residents via the program's vehicles to and from various social services agencies and recreational events as needed, in addition to providing transportation for staff of official business.Maintains logs; i.e, mileage, destinations.Review Daily Safety Inspection sheets for specific problems noted requiring follow-up.Ensure the sanitary and safe conditions of the facility.Maintains yard and outside area of residential property.Maintains and secures adequate tools and supplies necessary to perform assigned duties.Assists/completes related tasks as requested.SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma preferred.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Two years work experience in capacity of maintenance worker.Basic knowledge of Computers which includes Microsoft Word and Microsoft OutlookPhysical Requirements

Must be able to follow instructions and perform routine cleaning and minor facility repairs. Indoor; Outdoors; noisy; minor burns, cuts, bites or stings; standing; stooping; kneeling; walking and running; using hands on objects, tools or controls. Frequently lift and / or move more than 50 pounds. Travel between sites that are located throughout New York City. Other job characteristics- need to be exact or accurate, repeat same tasks; errors have important consequences.
