Metric5 is currently seeking a Scrum Master to support our US Department of the Army client. Our Scrum master will work with an established Agile program responsible for the development, maintenance, security, and operational support of new and existing applications. You will guide and coach the development team on using Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services.

The Scrum Master will coordinate activities across the DevOps teams as well as other contractor teams, lead the DevOps teams in defining or refining key program objectives and milestones, and monitor progress towards successful releases of React, Angular, .Net, Java and other application product upgrades. You will manage and report on all Program level risks and issues and work with the teams on mitigation or resolution.

A successful candidate will have hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in a Federal Government Agency IT environment.

Responsibilities:Utilizes Agile Scrum methodologies to plan and oversee work for one or more scrum teamsEngage the Product Owner, Technical Leads, and other stakeholders to help groom the requirements backlog and remove impedimentsGuide the development team in decomposing features and aligning them with program level architectural and development patternsCoach the team in Agile principles, to include self-organization and cross-functional skillsetFacilitate and support Agile Ceremonies such as daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint review / demos, program increment planning, and retrospectivesCollect, display, and report sprint and program metrics such as burndown and velocitySchedule and conduct meetings with assigned technical staff to gain insight into the state of the individual release and sprint plans, schedules, deliverables, milestones, projects risks and migrationCollaborate between agile teams to ensure dependencies are identified, impediments are removed, and work schedules are alignedRequirements:

6 years of professional experience with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience working as a Scrum Master for one or more delivery teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and Architect/Infrastructure/Engineering SMEs teams to assess and size stories/epicsStrong teamwork, co-ordination, planning and influencing skillsSelf-driven with the ability to adapt quickly, work in a challenging and fast paced environment within cross-functional teams, and to promote creative problem solvingExperience using Jira and ConfluenceScrum Master Certification (SAFe Scrum Master, CSM, PMI-ACP, etc)Desired Skills:

Experience with the Scaled Agile FrameworkInnovative thinking - ability to learn new tools and techniques and apply them to the programStrong self-organization and self-management skillsAbility to coach product owners and team members in Agile methodology

Location : Ft. Belvoir, VA. 1-2 days per week on site with the rest of the week telework.

Education : Bachelor's Degree

Certifications:

Scrum Master Certification - SAFe Scrum Master, CSM, PMI-ACP

Years of Experience : 6 years of experience with at least 3 years experience working as a Scrum Master

Clearance : Must be a United States Citizen with at least a Secret level clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
