Network EngineerLong-Term Contract (3 years)Frisco, TX (Hybrid onsite 3 days a week)Our Fortune 100 telecom client is hiring a Network Engineer to join their Engineering Business Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. Your primary objective will be to ensure network availability, stability, and security for our organization.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, etc.)Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurationsMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planningWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructureSelect and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security teamLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionDocument network topology, infrastructure, and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 support when necessaryRequirements4-7 years of professional experience in a similar network engineer role.Packet core experienceStrong experience working on 5G Core and LTE related projectsDeep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP)Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.Strong troubleshooting skills with tools such as NetScout, Wireshark, RAN tools, CDR tools, and provisioning tools.Ability to use ticketing tools such as Service Now, OneConsole, and Axiom.Proven experience with OEMs such as Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenier, Cisco, JMA, Corning, Commscope, ADRF, Solid.Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, etc.) are a plusBenefits of BrooksourceFull Health Benefits, PTO, and 401k.Previous experience working with this client and placing both permanent employees and contractors.Direct communication with the hiring manager, which allows us to have a deep understanding of the timeline and move you through the interview process faster.Dedication to keep an open line of communication and provide full visibility.Brooksource is an equal opportunity employer.
