Responsibilities
The Applications Engineer supports the sales and business development teams in the development and progression of target customer relationships and opportunities to close orders while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Exhibit excellent product and application knowledge to align the customer's requirements with the Eos benefits of a safe, low-cost, long lasting energy storage solution for peak shifting/shaving, long duration dispatch, ancillary services, micro-grid systems and renewable firming/smoothing.
Analyze customers' needs and develop appropriate suggestions across each aspect of an energy storage system from the battery and BMS to inverter, transformer, system protection, and SCADA for the utility, C&I, telecom, and residential market segments.
Support sales account managers, the business development, and internal technical staff, prepare technical responses to customer RFQ / RFPs.
Ensure a successful and appropriate handover of customer orders to project management.
Be the liaison between customers and the Eos technical team to obtain feedback on product performance, quality, documentation, and overall customer satisfaction.
Foster technical champions at key accounts while being responsive, consistent, and supportive of the overall market to help convert an ever-growing pipeline into revenue.
Follow procedures, tools, and best practices to enable the technical pre-sales organization to scale effectively while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collect and communicate regional and global industry best practices and maintain a competitive analysis for leading battery technologies and companies.
Assist with product manuals and data sheets as needed.
Ability to manage priorities and be flexible as the company experiences significant growth requiring teaming, excellent communications and individual contributions as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTechnical expertise in the energy storage market space.
Electrical engineering background. Good understanding of different batteries technologies available in the market and their main technical/commercial differentiators.
Good understanding of battery storage market space, relevant customers, and different technology providers.
Strong and effective communication, interpersonal and analytic skills. Able to work in matrix organizations with a teamwork spirit and able to elaborate technical evaluation in energy storage applications.
Strong compliance culture, passioned in technical aspects, and self-motivated type of person.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, related field, or equivalent experience required.Masters degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience.5 years of experience preferred.
