is seeking a

Sr. DevOps Engineer

to join our team and help accelerate a federal mission client’s discovery and delivery of identity and network-based intelligence insights to counter national security threats and malicious actors. Our software developers will assist in crafting, testing, and recommending scalable, flexible, and resilient designs and implement integrations with a standard platform in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategizing overall build tools and software to facilitate information and data sharing, and advance analytic practices.

This position will be on-site in Washington, DC or Reston, VA.

What you will do

Employ software development techniques and methodologies for solving tough analytical challenges in support of one of national security threatsUse software development skills to automate manual analytical processesOpportunity to expand upon beyond specializations to include front end user interfaces, back end microservices, web services, cloud architectures, as well as databases and other persistent data storesDeploy developed IT solutions, user applications, databases, and other IT capabilitiesDesign and develop specialized user solutions, applications and databases using a hybrid Agile approach within a DevOps environmentProvide Tier 2/3 technical support for deployed applications and databasesKnowledge of code versioning tools such as GitExperience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notificationsMaintain code integrity and organizationCollaborate with the rest of engineering team to design and launch new features. Includes coordination and documentation of deployment procedures, release plans, etc.Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to solve real world problem sets vital to national securityWhat you need to have

Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience (in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityUnderstanding of cloud architectures and enabling tools and technologies, such as, AWS Cloud (GovCloud/C2S)Familiar with Amazon Web Managed Services (AWS)High experience level with back-end programming languages (Python)Working knowledge with datastores PostgreSQL, S3, and ElasticsearchFamiliar with Configuration Management and CI Tools, such as, Git/Gitlab, Jenkins, AnsibleFamiliar with Linux/Unix server environments and scripting languageExperience with Agile development methodologyWorking knowledge with Collaboration tools, such as, Jira and ConfluenceExperience of the IC Enterprise Audit Program established by the DNI/IC CIOExperience with ICS 500-27 audit exchangeDoD 8570- IAT Level II certification required (or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)What we'd like you to have
