What You’ll Get to Do:
We are seeking an Oracle EBS Technical Consultant to support a Marine Corps Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) based logistics system that provides functions including asset visibility, supply, maintenance, readiness, task organization, repairs, request tracking, and financial information. The desired candidate will work in an Agile development team building Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Enhancements, Personalization and Workflow solutions. Candidate will develop, design, configure, test and document solution based on the requirements and user stories. Detail activities are listed below:
Candidate will work to develop, deploy, and sustain OAS reporting capabilities for an Oracle Federal EBS/SCM application.
Actively participate in design and analysis sessions to ensure sound team decision-making.
Provide design, development, testing, implementation, and sustainment of OAS reporting, dashboard capabilities.
Collaborate with functional and technical team members.
Develop and maintain all required documentation.
The Oracle Technical Consultant is responsible for the design & development of RICE-W in most of the oracle modules, including but not limited to, iProcurement, PO, INV, OM, BOM, AP, AR, PO, GL, & FND
Support all technical activities and follow the processes outlined to follow approved Agile approach.
Review Technical Design Documents and code to understand and gain knowledge about the functionalities of different RICECPW components.
Coordinate with SME and government personnel to support GAT for different RICECPW components.
Review Change Requests and aid in gathering requirements.
Tune and optimize packages, stored procedures, PL SQL, and application in an Oracle 12c RDBMS environment.
Provide technical support during the release testing phases.
Provide detailed deployment instructions for successful migration/backout of code.
Prepare design alternatives and design specification documents.
Drive all meetings with the customer and manage the analysis through design and development phases related to Oracle modules.
As required, provide updates to the deliverables identified for the development team.
Produce all work products and deliverables with quality and on schedule.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Current, active T5 level background investigation (required)
Current, active Security+ certification or equivalent or ability to obtain active Security+ certification or equivalent within 2 months of joining team.
Demonstrated OAS design and development experience in an Oracle R12 environment.
Knowledge of Oracle R12 EBS SCM data/table structure
Experience with OBIEE 11g / OAS architecture, administration tools, security, analysis and dashboard design and development
Experience importing tables and views for reporting.
Experience in Oracle Financials R12/R11 and Oracle databases:
Strong technical knowledge of oracle modules, including but not limited to, AP, AR, PO, GL, FV, FND, FA, & iProcurement
Strong in PL/SQL, Reports, Forms, XML, SOA, BI Publisher, Alerts and Workflow development (customizations and extensions)
Strong technical knowledge of OA Framework development
Familiar with Oracle EBS and/or SCM base tables
Experience with shell/perl scripting
Perform technical analysis of patches and open SRs with the product owner as required.
Perform impact analysis of the product updates released periodically by the vendor.
Strong knowledge of developing interfaces and conversion routines
Deliver solutions that meet the identified SLAs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
Ability to be hands-on in this role to develop professional documentation and other written materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
6 – 15 years of Experience in Oracle EBS Supply Chain Management modules R12/R11
Experience in requirements analysis, testing, documentation
Understanding and knowledge about base tables of Oracle supply chain modules
Understanding about Web Services and integration with Web Services
Oracle Fusion Middleware: Understanding of Oracle Fusion Middleware components like Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
Oracle ERP API and Open Interface: Proficiency in using Oracle ERP APIs and Open Interface tables for integration. Proficiency in using Oracle ERP APIs and Open Interface tables specific to supply chain modules will be great.
Middleware Technologies: Knowledge of middleware technologies for seamless integration between Oracle EBS and other applications.
API Development: Ability to develop, test, and maintain custom APIs for integration with Oracle EBS.
Business Process Understanding: Strong understanding of business processes and how they align with Oracle EBS supply chain modules are plus.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
• Prior experience with Oracle Discoverer
• Experience in Marine Corps / DoD supply and maintenance processes
• Experience in Agile
• Experience in Java Programming is a plus.
• Experience in SCM is a plus
