The Cath Lab Nurse provides specialized nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures, monitoring patient status, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
There are several duties that the Cath Lab Nurse must assist with in procedures including;
Assist the cardiologist and other medical staff during catheterization procedures, including insertion and monitoring of catheters and
other devices.
Ensure all required equipment and supplies are prepared and available for procedures.
Educate patients and their families about the procedure, potential risks, and post-procedure care.
