*Job Description*
In search of a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to work with children ages birth to 3 in their homes, daycares, and/or in the community. This position offers flexibility around your existing schedule with hours you choose. You decide on the number of clients and the areas you would like to travel to located in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Caseload varies depending on your availability.
Happy hearts is an Early Intervention agency with compassionate, caring, and dedicated group of professionals who have a BIG Heart for making a POSITIVE difference in the lives of young children and their families.
*Essential duties and responsibilities:*
-Meet with families in their natural environment to coach parents on implementing strategies and techniques to promote the development of their infant/toddler's language, cognitive, social, and/or feeding skills.
-Record progress to monitor each child’s development.
-Communicate with the families to identify their priorities and concerns.
-Compose detailed session notes identifying coaching strategies and ways to carry over skills throughout everyday routines.
-Complete quarterly reports and updates to the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
-Participate in IFSP meetings.
-Other duties as they arise.
*Qualifications:*
Individual must have strong organizational and communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, patience, physical endurance, and an understanding of child development.
Our speech language pathologists address speech, language, communication and feeding services. They work with families to help their child communicate to the best of their ability.
