Application Engineer - Commercial Gears

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for an Application Engineer - Commercial Gears. You will learn customer applications and technical requirements to leverage WEG`s value proposition, promoting sustainable growth and differentiated customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical liaison for commercial gear and DC motor customers, by translating customer requirements, drawings, specifications and RFQs into product solutions that meet customer and business needs.Coordinate expertise and recommend solutions from cross-functional teams to application and performance problems related to DC motors, gearmotors and gearbox applications in the commercial gearing field.Interact with sales team and customers on complex applications to translate customer requirements into product specification and provide valued technical proposals.Provide input to leadership team on commercial gear applications, customer requirements to design and/or improve products considering manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost.Solve problems with a thorough understanding of tradeoffs in problem solving to drive optimized designs.Act as the subject matter expert in product solutions at customer sites and serve as the main point of contact between our customer's engineering team and the WEG DC product and gear engineering team.Support routine product introductions, deviations, sample development and new product introductions.Provide leadership and timely resolution to outstanding customer issues.Lead or support internal qualification efforts on customer impacting design changes and transition projects. Conduct competitive analysis on other manufacturers' motors.Support business with other tasks as needed.Education
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent related experience.Candidate Requirements:
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects.Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating working relationships with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, strong customer-focused behaviorFamiliarity with the gear, gearmotor, DC motor and/or similar industry.Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point)Willingness to travel as needed (20% ~ 30%) in the US.
