A Software Engineer at Ursa Major within the avionics group is expected to develop and maintain the software that operates our engines. You will work within a small team to ensure that our flight and ground software pushes the limits of what is possible with respect to reliability and functionality to enable our engines to be best in class. You will need to be driven, detail oriented, and focused to support efforts to continually improve our engines and respond to quick development programs while guaranteeing the high performance and maintainability of our products.
Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain embedded and application software for rocket engines in all stages of development and production
Support and develop software associated with ground support and general test equipment.
Work with team members to scope and define new and existing software features
Drive Continuous integration and testing pipelines and support associated tools.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
10+ years developing C/C++ applications for application or embedded systems, including ARM, SoC, and FPGA softcore processors, or similar experience
Experience with GUI and web-based application development
Experience with Git version control
Ability to work effectively in teams or individually
Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
Desired Experience:
Software Development Processes similar to RTCA DO-178
Experience in developing products/systems used in Aerospace applications.
Experience with Python, LabVIEW, and other software/scripting languages
Experience working with continuous integration, automated build and test, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
Familiarity with RTOS and/or Linux kernel code
Experience with complex control systems targeting sensors, actuators, and motors
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $160,000 - $190,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we
