Driver/Donor Technician (Hammond and New Orleans)The Blood Center is now interviewing for full-time drivers. Candidates

must

have at least one year of experience driving a bus 35 feet or larger, have a good driving record and a Louisiana CDL driver's license with airbrake certification. Must also be able to work flexible days and hours. Excellent customer service skills are required. DATE NEEDED:Immediately

POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE

Drive assignedfleet vehicle to and from the drive site, assist with setting up and tearing down of drive sites and to ensure quality of blood components when performing phlebotomy.QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses: Valid Class A or B CDL driver's license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of BC's phlebotomy training course.

Experience: Previous experience driving a bus 35 feet or larger needed, prior phlebotomy experience helpful.

Specific Skills: Good communication skills, excellent customer relations skills, ability to work well under pressure, working knowledge of word processing, good aptitude for knowing how to expedite donor flow, knowledge of medical terminology and donor screening requirements and ability to drive all TBC vehicles.
