Junior Solar Project Developer Job Summary: Reporting to the Renewable Solutions Group Manager, this position will support the development of solar projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Junior Solar Project Developer Essential Functions: Support the development of public, educational, commercial, industrial, and other types of solar projects Will work directly with McClure's established sales and business development teams to qualify and originate project opportunities Support due diligence activities including site origination, site control, project permitting, utility interconnection Development of long-term relationships with site owners, energy users and other project stakeholders Effective communication with project stakeholders and community members to facilitate project permitting and other initiatives Active management of development schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective projects Fostering support from state, county and local governments, community groups, and abutters Support of internal finance, engineering, and construction teams to facilitate successful project financing and construction Development of sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support project development efforts Other duties as assigned Junior Solar Project Developer Education, experience, technical skills & attributes required: Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems or similar field At least 1 year of experience working in the energy industry Exceptional oral and written communication skills Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, Helioscope, AutoCAD Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Position is full-time Monday - Friday and is not a remote work position.
