Position Summary
As a member of the Guest Services Team, you will be an essential part of the Guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas of the arena. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to ushering, ticket scanning, concourse customer service, greeter. You will have the opportunity to assist our guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a World Class experience. Your job will be to keep our fans safe and informed while still maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.
This role will pay an hourly rate between $14.75

About the Venue
The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men's and Women's basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes. Responsibilities
* Prepare your assigned section for guests; this could include wiping down seats, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor* When gates open, welcome our fans with a great smile and helpful attitude* Scan event tickets ensuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entry* Assist fans in locating their ticketed seats* Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur* Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fans* Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner* Assist guests in ADA accessible seating sections* Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests* Manage the foot traffic flow of large crowds* Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.* Be knowledgeable about arena emergency evacuation plan in order to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency
Physical Demands:
* While performing duties of this job, the employee occasionally lifts and moves facility equipment and/or tools. Employee will frequently move about inside and outside various areas of the large facility before/during/after events to interact with internal/external clients and supervise the work of employees. Position will require employee to occasionally bend, stoop, or crouch in order to evaluate and inspect equipment and building infrastructure. Employee will as needed operate fork lift and high lift in assessment of and maintenance of the building and equipment. Employee will occasionally be required to identify or match colors/tones of furniture, dance floor, carpet or other items as necessary. Employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as calculators, telephones, copy machines and printers; employee will constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee will frequently lift 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds; and push/pull 150 pounds, as business demands required.
Work Environment:
* The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.
Qualifications
* Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred* You must love working with and helping people.* Ability to stand for long periods of time.* You must be able to maintain a POSITIVE attitude while handling difficult situations.* Flexible schedule: Availability to work a majority of home basketball games. Weekend availability is needed.
