Office Location: Position can be located in either Stuart, FL or Maitland, FLThe Flood Specialist will provide service to the Loan Operations department as the Subject-Matter-Expert for Reg H in supporting Ops, Commercial, Consumer and the Residential Lines of Business. This role will be responsible to ensure the Life of Loan flood process starting with determinations and ending with ongoing adequate flood coverage is adhered to pursuant to procedures, Regulations and Credit Policy. Collaborates with a wide variety of partners, supporting operational as well as risk-related activities, producing results which are then reported and communicated back to the appropriate stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesPerform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA), Reg HCommunicate and document gaps in compliance with FDPAProvide credible challenge to senior business partnersSupport internal and external Flood QA reportingCross-train team members on processes and complexities of LOBs supportedEscalate issues identified with reviews, scorecards, and technology systemsProvide ongoing recommendations for improvements by incorporating emerging and key business risksSupports regulatory exams, Compliance and Audit requests related to the Flood

QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required5+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, commercial, consumer and residential lending, and Flood insurance preferredProven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with business and functional experts to provide guidance and to recognize risks and gapsExcellent organizational and time management skills - ability to remain flexible and productive through shifting priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to achieve deadlines and deliver quality results and meet tight deadlines within a team environmentSelf-motivated and confident decision-maker with the ability to demonstrate leadership and drive process improvementExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable mannerAbility to make subjective and informed decisions based upon output to justify decision makingExcels in using Microsoft suite; Teams, Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and able to quickly learn various other tools/platformsKnowledge of Commercial, Retail and Residential Banking, and functional areasElevated level of professionalism and sense of urgency
