Job Description Summary
This is a temporary seasonal position in our quarry and the responsibilities include:
Operates truck in safe and professional manner in the yard areaKeep vehicle clean inside and outsideReport any accident or incident to supervisorPerforms pre and post-trip truck inspections, including fluid levels and greasing. Fill out daily vehicle condition report.Informs Service Technician and supervisor of any maintenance or repairs neededWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesKeep log book on load counts and work area InspectionRequirementsThe ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendanceDemonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervisionDemonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays/nightsDemonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employeesDemonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company policies or governmental state rules and regulationsMust have good depth perception and coordination to operate controlsMust have a valid driver's licensePre-employment screenings required d before being employed by Callanan Indstries, Inc.Preferences
Ideal candidate will have some familiarity with aggregate/asphalt operations and quarry haul truck experienceEducation/Experience
