Responsibilities

What you'll Do:

This position consists of providing logistical planning, support, and data management to meet the needs and requirements of the CH-53 Fleet Support Team. The Logistician will provide support for aircraft induction to the Fleet Readiness Center, to complete IMP cycles and events; by collecting and analyzing maintenance task information from a variety of sources on aircraft parts, hazardous material, and Support Equipment. They will compile this information into an array of spreadsheets and reports to be utilized during the IMP evolutions. The Logistician will help develop requirements and processes for the induction of the CH-53K into the Fleet Readiness Center by gathering information on the packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; and review facilities requirements for housing and maintaining aircraft for the IMC.

Key Responsibilities:

The Junior Logistician will coordinate the ongoing logistical functions of the organization. They are responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, allocation, delivery, and final disposal.

Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems support/maintenance programs and information systems.

Supports logistics/maintenance programs and organizations on issues such as: technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirements and resources; development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; life cycle cost analysis and control; weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility; ILS/Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program test and evaluation planning and execution; and, ILS/R&M program management analysis.

Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.

Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

BS or BA degree

• Allowable Substitutions in addition to the required one year of experience.

Associate degree plus four (4) years of acquisition or logistics support/maintenance experience.

High School Diploma/GED plus six (6) years of acquisition or logistics support/maintenance experience.

Experience:

At least one year of experience in defense life-cycle logistics.

Experienced in communicating with customers, employees, and corporate staff.

Experienced in the daily use of computers and computer software programs such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

Poses a strong Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Supply Background.

Experience researching parts through FedLog, OneTouch, FEDMALL, WebFLIS, and/or DECKPLATE preferred.
