On 6T you will be working with drains, chest tubes, surgical wounds, tracheotomies, hanging blood, IV antibiotics, Insulin, Heparin,etc. Number of beds: 48

Patient Population/Typical Diagnosis: Pre/post-transplant care for Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Transplant patients with End Stage Kidney/Pancreas and Liver Disease

Join our interdisciplinary team and be a part of the journey.The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is the clinical lead for a program or an area of defined nursing practice. Provides leadership in order to integrate new knowledge and innovation within a specialty area.

Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills within the three spheres of influence: patient/family, nurses, and the organization/system.

Collaborates with the Nursing Director(s) to lead clinical practice and education on the unit, with in the division, and across the health system. Accountable for designing, implementing, and measuring safe, cost effective, evidence-based care strategies.Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board;

Master's degree in nursing;

Meets GA Board of Nursing requirements for CNS;

Three years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent experience in the area of concentration. BLS and ACLS certifications required
