Sign on Bonus Offered to Eligible CandidatesGeneral Purpose:Utilizing DFA tractor and trailer, transports raw milk from farm to processing plant or trucking terminalDuties and Responsibilities:Operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practicesFollowing dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milkTransfers raw milk from farm containers to trailerTakes quality and control samples at farmMeasures milk loaded into trailerApply seals properly and document seal numbers to paperwork to ensure traceability and security of load.Follows designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnelTakes measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumptionMaintains positive communications with producers, listens for issues or potential problems, reports producers' comments to transportation and member services managementAlways represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with producers, customers, or regulatory personnelThis is a part time position

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent PreferredMust have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must meet all DOT requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirementsAbility to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writingBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurementGood organization and record keeping skillsPunctuality
