Senior Business Analyst

Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our commercial real estate, commercial credit, and investment banking divisions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis, real estate markets, credit risk assessment, and investment banking processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, assess financial performance, and provide strategic insights that support business growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Modeling :Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate real estate investments, credit facilities, and investment banking transactions.Conduct detailed financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) calculations.Analyze and interpret financial statements, market data, and economic trends to support decision-making processes.Commercial Real Estate :Evaluate commercial real estate opportunities by assessing property values, market conditions, and potential returns.Assist in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial properties.Monitor and report on real estate market trends, identifying risks and opportunities.Commercial Credit Analysis :Perform comprehensive credit analysis to assess the risk and viability of lending opportunities in the commercial real estate sector.Develop credit risk models and provide recommendations on credit limits and loan structuring.Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure accurate and timely assessment of credit applications.Investment Banking Support :Support deal origination and execution by conducting industry research, preparing pitch books, composing offering memorandums, and performing valuation analysis.Participate in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, equity investments, and debt investments.Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement :Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and industry professionals.Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, investment committee and clients.Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.Work hand-in-hand with CFO on financial & accounting projects.Risk Management :Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate investments, credit facilities, and financial transactions.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.Required Experience and SkillsEducation : Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Experience :Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate, commercial credit, or investment banking.Proven track record in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and real estate investment.Experience in developing and implementing financial models and analysis tools.Skills :Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Proficiency in financial modeling software and advanced knowledge of Excel.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.Strong understanding of real estate markets, credit risk, and investment banking processes.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Bilingual in Spanish would be an attractive attribute.Preferred QualificationsCertifications : CFA, FRM, or related certifications are highly desirable.Knowledge : Familiarity with real estate software (e.g., Argus), credit risk tools, and investment banking platforms.Soft Skills : High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Competitive benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.A collaborative and supportive work environment.
