The Senior Social Media Director is responsible for driving the social media communications strategy for a large U.S. brand. This individual interfaces with partner agencies, senior management, and executive leadership to ensure strategic focus throughout planning and execution. The Senior Social Media Director works with their team to apply industry best practices to plan and optimize the social media marketing mix around client’s goals.

Our social strategy team tracks trends in technology and consumer behavior to find opportunities, and cultivates the social media presence for our clients. They concept, create, and present communication strategies and integrated marketing campaigns that support the brand's overall goals, and are always on the lookout for new ways to connect with consumers. You will be an integral part of one of our largest and most visible accounts in the agency. This is an opportunity to lead the charge in redefining what we can do.

What you will do

Lead social media strategy and social listening strategy with overall multicultural efforts for multiple US brandsSpearhead innovative social media initiativesAssemble and interpret metrics, build executive summaries, and deliver meaningful business insights tied to social listening and brand reputation to key stakeholdersPresent and articulate findings/results & recommendations to brand leadershipDevelop and maintain relationships with key partners across our partner agencies, key stakeholders; especially with those departments and individuals that partner with the social media teamProvide expertise on the latest social media trends, tactics, and opportunities including delivering social insights to achieve goals and connect the target audience to the brandPlay a role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive social/communication programs for the multicultural marketManage and develop relationships with other social agencies as part of integrated agency team model process, and other internal departments such as strategy and creative in the development of leadership communications strategy & social programs to support ownership areasIdentify opportunities for organic growth with clientsManage and develop team members

What we are looking for

Minimum 8+ years of Digital/Social, Public Relations, Integrated Marketing including multicultural communicationsGovernment or non-profit experience preferred but not requiredQSR experience preferred but not requiredExperience leading hard-working social teams to deliver results against goalsDeep experience in reputation management, social listening and reportingDeep experience in organic social campaigns and programs to drive engagementAbility to forge strong alliances with internal partners to deeply understand their needs, impact their perspectives to drive consensus, and execute against the social strategy.Strong communication and presentation skillsStrong leadership skills and a consistent record of leading, mentoring, and developing the careers of a hard-working team
