Certification DetailsBLS, Certified Mammography Technologist - ARRT (M) VerificationCertified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) VerificationMust meet documented training and experience requirements.Job DetailsHospital in northern coastal California seeks highly skilled mammography tech for a travel assignment!Experience with Breast Mammography and Ultrasound required.Candidate should hold CA ARRT cert in radiology, and mammography, as well as a Mammo cert.Job RequirementsCA ARRT certification in radiology and mammography.Mammo certification.BLS certification.Experience with Breast Mammography and Ultrasound.8 hours of digital training and 8 hours of tomosynthesis training.Proof of initial training- 40hrs education and 25 supervised exams.200 mammograms in the past 24 months.15 mammography related CEUs in the past 3 years.Schedule Information8hr shifts M-Sa9:30am or 6:30am start time during the week and 7:30am on Saturday40 hr work wk. 30 min lunch, 2 15 min breaks.Unit Specific InformationUnit: Mammography TechnicianWill typically see 23-25 patients per day.Could float to 3D Ultrasound- will cross train, could also rotate into bone density if they have that experience.Will not be floating to main facility- will be solely at the Offsite breast care center.Floor specific orientation: 1 Shift- 1 department day orientation, then the rest of the 1st wk will be observed by the Lead Tech.Additional DetailsExperience with Epic EMR preferred.No call & response time.Hospital supplies the scrubs.Common types of imaging/studies performed: Mammograms (usually 23-25 patients per day), 3D Ultrasound, and possibly bone density.Responsible for participating in a rotating schedule, including Saturdays.Closed on holidays.Unit located off-site in a residential area, approximately 2 miles from the hospital in a Cancer Center.Looking for someone that is a team player, patient-oriented, with great communication skills and committed to excellence.
