We’re seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Director to join our team. Candidates must have in-depth experience with social media strategy and understand its importance and role within successful brand management. You must demonstrate strong conceptual abilities, leadership, long and short-term understanding of strategy, and be able to consistently generate creative ideas. Candidates must also have exceptional project management skills and be able to manage and coordinate multiple accounts consecutively while working with internal content creators. All that said, we like to keep a pretty fun, laid-back, but hard-working atmosphere here at RUMOR. this is a full-time, in-office position . Those seeking remote or part-time work will not be considered to fill this position. Manage Social Media team and project workflows, providing feedback, support, and mentorship to team members.Work closely directly with clients, with extreme professionalism representing the agency.Develop, implement, and manage multiple clients’ social media strategies and channels.Identify target audiences for social media strategies and campaigns and develop messaging and content accordingly.Define important social media SMART goals and KPIs.Communicate strategies and iterate based on feedback.Develop the written and visual language and concepts for all social projects—adapting style and tone based on audience, channel, and industry.Write, manage, and oversee all social media content.Measure and analyze the success of every social media campaign—reporting on key findings to the team and clients.Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.Collaborate with the creative, development, and media teams to ensure consistency at all brand touch points.Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization.Targeted outreach with relevant industry professionals and influencers to create a strong network and campaigns.Stay up to date and organized, keeping projects on defined timelines and budgets.Be positive and proactive, on-time and on-target.Qualifications:
5+ years experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, agency experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, project management, or related field.Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.Professionalism in working with team members and clients.Creative eye and ability to self-direct video and photo shoots, and editing skills.Passion for social media content creation and realizing brands’ visions.Understand how to utilize and customize social media for brand awareness and impressions for many different clients based on their specific needs.Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media best practices.Exceptional copywriting skills to speak as and for a brand, while matching their voice and tone.Extensive understanding of social media KPIs and SMART goals.Experience with social media planning and management tools (Trello, Sprinklr, and Facebook Creator Studio are a plus).Motivated by feedback, and by the opportunity to improve in your role, in the work, and in how you work together as a team.Excellent time-management skills to not only balance multiple clients strategies but each individual social channel.Great interpersonal and communication skills.A collaborative, humble nature.Confidence to create and implement individualized social media strategies.Ability to collaborate with each department to not only help push the social media agenda but learn how to use social media to help the brand across all platforms.Why RUMOR?
