The Design Director

will lead the overall brand visual-identity and design strategy, working closely with the Director of Brand Strategy and other key stakeholders to modernize and elevate our brand. This role will provide leadership and creative direction, develop visual brand guidelines, execute marketing, communications, and sales collaterals in various media, including, but not limited to, print, digital, website, events, and video. The Design Director will manage and inspire the creative team and present the visual brand strategy to senior leaders and executives. The Design Director will also champion employee and partner adherence to brand guidelines.Role and Responsibilities

Lead and Develop TalentLead and foster an environment of creativity and collaboration, evaluating tools, resources and retaining top talent as needed.Collaborate within department and across CoverMyMeds.Brand Identity, Strategy and ManagementDevelop and refine the brand’s visual identity and design strategy ensuring all creative outputs and campaigns align with our company’s vision and strategic priorities.Ensure the successful implementation of creative projects from concept through to completion, maintaining high standards for design.Provide support on brand identity to internal stakeholders and agency partners.Brand ArchitectureEvolve our companies brand architecture through organic and M&A growth.Ensure all elements are aligned to reinforce the brand's market position and achieve long-term business goals.Review outputs with Brand and Creative team to ensure brand compliance.Promote brand standards for the company, and identify new opportunities to enhance the brand across all mediums.Hands-on DesignOccasionally take an active design role in various projects by leading design efforts and offering creative insights on a variety of internal and external initiatives and campaigns.Establish the brand's visual identity, set the overall creative direction, and review design executions for brand adherence and consistency.Budget & Vendor ManagementOversee the creative department budget.Manage freelance resources and vendor/agency relationships effectively.Minimum Job Qualifications

REQUIRED .Business Experience3+ years of experience managing senior creatives or project leaders.10+ years in creative leadership role with a proven track record of managing a creative team.2+ years in healthcare or B2B marketing.Proven track record of managing a creative team, establishing visual identity guidelines and ensuring their adherence.Critical Knowledge/SkillsLeadership:

Strong leadership skills to manage your team and key stakeholders within the Marketing team and broader CoverMyMeds organization.Creative Skills:

Strong, brand-driven portfolio showcasing a range of conceptual to executional projects, as well as ability to establish and manage design systems, establishing creative templates and efficiencies for scalability.Technical Skills:

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Microsoft PowerPoint and familiar with both digital and print design workflows.Business Acumen:

Understanding of how creative decisions impact overall business and brand strategy.Innovation:

Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate new ideas into the creative strategy, ensuring our brand remains dynamic and competitive.Collaboration:

Work closely with stakeholders across the company to deliver a cohesive and compelling brand experience and understand the needs and challenges of different departments and tailor creative strategies accordingly.Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders and external partners.Preferred AttributesExperience in healthcare is highly desirable.Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.Strong project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive prioritization alignment.Strong negotiation skills, proven ability to encourage people to adopt a process.Working Conditions

Travel Requirements: 10 - 20% Light to moderate travel for in-person meetings, team building events, events, photoshoots, etc.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets.
