Pediatric Critical Care Float PoolShift : Variable or straight Nights / 12x3, 36 hrs per weekLength : 13 weeks(4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule)Must work 2 out of the 3 holidaysRequirements :
CA license2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL)Pediatric ICU experienceExperience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKGBLSPALSOthers:Patient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, **neurosurgery. Trauma, hem onc, DKA if PH or altered consciousnessFor travelers with PICU experience - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areasTraveler must be willing to get flu shot when requestedWill care for all age ranges and levels of acuityThis is a Critical Care Float Pool positionFirst to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including EDCOVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline):UnknownTHIS IS A CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL POSITION – PEDIATRIC ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested**Required:• CA License• First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED• Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity• BLS• PALS• 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL)*for travelers with PICU exp - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas• Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG.Shifts:• 3x12 variable or straight night• (4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule)• 13 week contractsRequested Time Off:Max 6 days (Must still get 3 shifts in per week)Must work 2 out of the 3 holidaysPatient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, **neurosurgery.
