Director of Product Management Environmental Solutions - Fenceline MonitoringThe Opportunity:Picarro's Environmental Solutions team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Product Management to lead the product strategy and development for fenceline monitoring applications targeting industrial customers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Picarro's innovative fenceline monitoring solutions, which are critical for industries managing air quality compliance and emissions control. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, data analytics, sales, and customer support to develop scalable solutions for real-time emissions monitoring, helping customers meet regulatory requirements and optimize their operations.This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role in a growing market. You will be at the forefront of developing solutions that serve customers in industries like chemicals, petrochemicals, and refineries, ensuring they can achieve compliance with complex environmental regulations such as the HON rule.Key Responsibilities:
Define and drive the product strategy for Picarro's fenceline monitoring solutions, with a focus on meeting the needs of industrial customers across multiple sectors.Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through to commercialization, including developing product roadmaps, defining go-to-market strategies, and overseeing product launches.Collaborate with customers, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to understand market trends, compliance requirements, and emerging challenges in air quality and emissions monitoring.Work closely with engineering, software development, and data analytics teams to define technical requirements, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and meet the operational needs of industrial customers.Develop and maintain key partnerships with industry leaders to drive innovation and build new reference applications that become standards in the fenceline monitoring space.Provide thought leadership within the industry, presenting Picarro solutions at industry conferences and trade shows, and developing marketing collateral with marketing.Lead pre-sales efforts by supporting the sales team with product knowledge, training, and customer engagement to ensure alignment with business development goals.Monitor product performance and success metrics, continuously refining the product roadmap and strategy to meet evolving market demands and customer expectations.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred.7+ years of product management experience, preferably within environmental monitoring, industrial solutions, or regulatory compliance sectors.Proven experience in managing complex hardware and software products for industrial applications, including IoT solutions, data analytics platforms, and cloud technologies.Strong understanding of environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, HON, NESHAP) and how they apply to air quality and emissions monitoring in industrial settings.Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leading product development from concept to market.Experience in developing go-to-market strategies for industrial or environmental products.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring product management teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with real-time air quality monitoring systems and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) is a plus.Experience working with large industrial customers in sectors like chemicals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, or other heavy industries.Proven track record of scaling cloud-based monitoring and data management solutions for compliance and operations optimization.
