Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

to their Vancouver, Washington Cancer Center. The

APP

will join the Gynecologic Oncology team seeing patients in partner with our Gyn Physicians, holding independent clinics, and assisting in the operating room. Through a team-based-care approach, they will educate patients on treatments, provide post-operative care, build patient relationships through long term follow-up clinics, and provide other general support to maintain the high level of care our patients are accustomed to. While gynecologic and/or oncology experience is preferred, a heart of service and a desire to continue our mission will help you find success.Employment Type:

$104,585 - $191,522.00 salariedSCOPE:

Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, and patient care. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, or patient educator. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients in tandem with Physician and care team.Serves as OR assist in surgeries performed by Compass physicians.Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.Performs procedures and post-operative care with minimal supervision.Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.May promote/provide staff education.Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend calls.May mentor new advanced practice providers.May precept APP students.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Education:Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.Experience/Training:
