Job Summary:The Director of Product Management & Marketing in the Materials Testing Business is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy and driving initiatives to enhance market position and organic growth in the business. This position would have direct responsibility for marketing and product management.Candidates must possess a history of strong leadership. Have experience in product management, market strategy, and technology. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment, interface closely with other functional leaders (domestic and globally) and can develop and direct strategy.Major Areas of AccountabilityAbility to lead a team to gather high-quality customer insightsDefine and effectively articulate a strategy for product development that supports the business’s organic growth and market differentiation goalsHas in-depth customer and market knowledge and demonstrates the ability to convert market insights into key growth opportunities aligned with the overall business strategyHas the ability to drive value proposition creation to address customer needs and pain points.Key leader in the annual and long-range planning process to develop and implement growth strategies, operational plans, policies, projections and budgets in support of business goals.Has the courage to stop projects when neededDrive domestic and international marketing strategies and tactics to support current and new markets while managing product pricing and positioningDetermine market size/share, revenue potential, and ROI to develop plans and sales channels to increase sales growth, profitable margins, and solution sales approachesUse data and analytics to make informed decisions and optimizations.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing and innovation initiativesOversee the development and execution of a strong brand identity and marketing campaigns for materials testing productsBuild and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunitiesAssess team capabilities and address gaps when identifiedEducation, Experience & Skills QualificationsMinimum Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or technical disciplineMinimum 7-10 years of related experienceAbility to contribute at a strategic level to define growth strategy and rationalize product portfolioKnowledge of marketing and the product development process and toolsExcellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at all levels of the organization.Highly motivated and results oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team environment with ability to easily adapt to change, consistently meet deadlines and excellent follow through.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally
