About the team:

We're a small, passionate and driven team of experienced ML researchers, software engineers and product managers on a mission to make the practice of law radically more efficient and accurate. Our project is focusing on de-risking our technology, refining our tech prototypes, running experiments with partners and developing a product prototype and business plans.

About the role:

You will work across the team, helping to implement frontend user experiences and API services to power state-of-the-art applications. You will be part of an agile team working on products and experiments using modern development standards and industry best practices. With your knowledge & expertise in application development, you will be able to turn requirement changes into live code quickly while working closely with other software engineers, UX, machine learning experts, lawyers and product managers to plan, coordinate and integrate your work.

This role has a 12 month fixed term, with the opportunity to be placed in a project full time.

How you will make 10X Impact:Strong front-end skills with product and design sense, and an eye for detail when it comes to UI/UX.Design and implement robust, production-level software to make complex data accessible through web applications and APIs.Drive technologies and product development for the legal domain, including data management, interaction workflows and visualization.Rapidly develop prototypes to evaluate feasibility.Work effectively with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and domain experts.Interface with internal and external partners to refine technical requirements.What you should have:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.4+ years of experience designing and implementing web applications using React and Typescript along with development best practices, and modern build tooling like eslint.Experience with API integration and front end data visualization, especially at the intersection of human-AI collaboration.Experience working with Cloud platforms like GCP or AWS, specifically GCP. Knowledge of GCP web application components is a plus.Experience with modern UI styling frameworks like Tailwind, StyleX, or Sass.Module Bundlers (e.g., vite): Ability to set up and configure bundlers for Single Page Applications.Testing Frameworks (e.g., Cypress): Knowledge of testing React applications using frameworks like Cypress.An eye for user experience and design. We're a small team so we'll rely on you to think like a user and build for intuitive UI and interaction flows.Ability to work in a small team / rapid prototyping environment with quick turnaround.An innovative mindset, ready to apply your creativity to a very green field.A zest for learning, getting things done and giving and getting constructive feedback.It'd be great if you also had these:

Expertise in the following front end technologies: D3, Plotly, WebGL.Experience with visualizing complex time series and graph data on the web.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 - $175,000 + bonuses + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
