TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Network/IT Administrator to join our team in Irvine, California.
Job Summary:
The Network/IT Administrator will manage all aspects of enterprise network infrastructure and administer the CCTV systems and other servers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Network Management:
Oversee and maintain network infrastructure which includes Cisco switches, routers, and Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, dedicated fiber optic infrastructure and leased lines. Ensure network performance, security, and reliability and address issues promptly. Prepare, configure, test, install and deploy network equipment such as Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls. Perform periodic updates of Cisco IOS and other software and hardware to keep all network hardware and firmware up to date. Document all network configurations, changes, and updates and maintain accurate and up-to-date documents of network infrastructure. Perform racking and stacking of network equipment and cables in an organized and efficient layout. Perform routine network monitoring and maintenance. Conduct ACL maintenance and segmentation scans. Configure and maintain network monitoring tools to ensure all equipment is properly monitored and alerts are addressed promptly. Utilize Net Brain and other network management tools for network mapping and monitoring. CCTV System Administration:
Administer CCTV server and systems, currently using SYMPHIA VMS. Ensure the reliability and performance of the CCTV systems. Perform routine checks and maintenance of the CCTV infrastructure. Upgrade software and OS and install security updates to keep the system up to date. Other Responsibilities:
Administer servers and VMWare Hosts. Provide on-call and after-hour maintenance services. Collaborate closely with customers, vendors, and service providers as needed. Document network and IT infrastructure, procedures, and policies. Assist in other IT projects and upgrades. Additional duties and projects as assigned. Education:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. CCNA certification required, CCNP certification preferred . Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in network administration using Cisco networking equipment. Strong knowledge of fiber optics and leased line management. Ability to work independently and with other team members with minimal guidance. Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and software. Experience with ACL maintenance, segmentation scans, and PCI compliance documentation. Experience with administering Palo Alto firewalls. Proficiency in administering CCTV systems, specifically SYMPHIA VMS, is a plus. Experience administering VMWare, Windows and/or Linux servers is a plus. Experience with SAN/NAS, server hardware is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with PowerShell and/or other scripting languages. Other Requirements
Must be able to lift up to ten pounds. Travel to data centers and field locations as needed.
Salary Range:
$85k - $125k annually, based upon experience.
