About the Position Position/Specialty: Nuclear Med Tech

Performs a variety of duties required to prepare patients and conduct diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine examinations. Updates, logs, and performs Quality Control surveys for contamination of daily shipments of stock radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with NRC regulations. Performs radiologic examinations timely, accurately, and safely for radiologist interpretation.

Assures the radiology suite and adjacent clinical and common areas are prepared to receive patients and visitors.

Supports a culture of safety.

Start Date: Start date will be 2-3 weeks from offer Shift: 5x8s, M-F, 7:30a-4p Weekend Req (Y/N): No Holiday Req (Y/N): No Call Requirement (Y/N): No Float Requirement:

Primarily scheduled at the East Cooper Facility

Required/Preferred Years of Experience Required: 2 years

Accepts first time travelers: No Certs/License Required: BLS, must be a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), must be a certified CT Technologist (ARRT CT), and SCRQSA is required Pending State License accepted: SC license must be in hand at time of start

Experience Required:

Operating knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment, PACS, and RIS.

Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens and universal precautions.

Strongly Preferred:

Knowledge of IQ-SPECT Software. It is a new platform from Siemens. The scanner we are installing is the Symbia Pro.spectra Q3 Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers

Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule: Approval prior to assignment, but not guaranteed. Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. At 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility need. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
