Specialize in network engineering in an industrial environment. This role will provide network engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support. The Engineer will ensure compliance with established system architecture, regulations, and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.Responsibilities Lead the IoT Network Engineering team on designs, production deployments, and initiativesMaintain current network solutions within manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance and securityServe as a Tier 2-3 escalation point for complex network issuesGather requirements, analyze, and propose solutions for networking needs specific to materials manufacturingProvision, implement, validate, and maintain networking services remotely, leveraging regional staging environmentsMonitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services to ensure optimal performanceSupport and drive Project Bobcat (Cathode) and Project Lynx, including network health monitoring, moves, additions, troubleshooting, and construction completion of IDF/MDF roomsAssist in improving the cybersecurity posture of the Materials Division, including creating policies and procedures, secure remote access, and performing firewall rule reviews and lockdownBecome proficient in Emerson DeltaV and DCS control systems to provide backup for material-related network tasksDocument network knowledge base and maintain an operational "Run-Book" for ongoing support and future reference Requirements 5+ years' experience in a production industrial or manufacturing networking infrastructureExtensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS/COS (focused on industrial real-time protocols), VLAN, VRRP, LACP, SDWAN, EVPN with VXLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cablingExtensive experience with multi-vendor industrial switching technologies including Cisco IE (IOS and IOS XE/IOx), Hirschmann, Siemens, Beckhoff, Moxa, N-Tron and similar industrial switches and PLCsWorking experience with other common non-industrial switching platforms such as Juniper, Arista, etc.Working experience with industrial protocols such as CIP Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, BACnet, EtherCAT, Modbus, REP, MRP, HSR and similar protocolsWorking experience with distributed control system (DCS) networks in a manufacturing environment. Honeywell Experion, Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800xA, or similarExperience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks firewall services including IPSEC VPN, URL filtering, and IDS/IPSExperience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, Wireshark, SNMP, Netflow, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, network taps, SPAN ICS scanners (CyberVision, Claroty, Teneble, etc.), and load/stress testingExperience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics (Salt, Ansible, Python, Shell Scripting)CCNP, CCNA Industrial certifications preferred
