As a Construction Estimator in Miami, you'll be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed bid proposals for residential and commercial construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all estimates reflect current market conditions and project requirements.

Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up luxury high-rise and condominium projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure all aspects of the project are covered.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and incorporate findings into the estimating process.
  • Identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods.
  • Monitor and update project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear justifications and supporting data.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials costs, and construction techniques to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, with a strong focus on luxury high-rise and condominium projects.
  • Extensive experience working on ground-up construction projects in the city/Brooklyn preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes specific to high-rise developments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
