The Opportunity:

We're looking for a RVP, NEI Sales, Western Canada to join our Wealth Distribution Team.

Reporting to the VP, Head of Retail Sales, the RVP NEI Sales, Western Canada is responsible for directing the overall activities of the Wholesalers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to achieve assigned sales targets along with specified activity goals. The primary role is a sales coach and provide support to a team of wholesalers to accelerate growth. The RVP NEI Sales Western Canada will also work with senior management and peers to develop and execute on the company's strategy.

What your day looks like:
  • Accountable for the overall success of the Western Canada Wholesaler team to meet its sales targets, meeting quotas and expense management, including sales development with wholesalers
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets, consistent with Aviso's overall business strategies
  • Performance Management of the wholesalers and the achievement of individual business plans, ensuring the development of new partners and further penetration of current supporters through strong follow up and management of the opportunity pipeline
  • Extensive Observational Coaching is expected to support NEI's Insight Selling approach which helps to differentiate NEI from other firms in the market
  • Manage specific sales initiatives, sales campaigns, product launches/focuses, target distribution channels and the sales individuals that drive them
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and coach the Western Wholesaler team. With the support of our People & Culture team, lead the recruitment, interview process, selection and training of new sales team members
  • Involved in special projects as required
  • Manage expenses and those of team members within an approved budget
  • Ensure that all Compliance requirements are observed by the team

Requirements

Your experience and skills:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field
  • CSC is required and CFA/CFP/MBA is an asset
  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a sales leader in the investment industry
  • Proven sales leadership as a sales coach/motivator
  • Strong knowledge of sales management and coaching principles with a track record of applying the knowledge
  • Effective negotiator, with the ability to manage complex and critical issues
  • Strong business acumen in business development, relationship management, cross functional teams, entrepreneurial mindset, and a bottom-line orientation
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, and inter-personal skills. Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
  • Successful at building long-lasting respected relationships with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated and proven experience in developing new business opportunities with potential partner companies
  • Effective influencer and builds quick credibility with external and internal partners
  • Ability to Travel

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $124,000 - $158,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
