What we need...

This position will play a critical role in contributing both to the durum product line, and to our overall approach to railroad logistics.

What you'd do...

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to durum product line
    • Assist in achieving durum P&L goals
    • Establish durum bids at Northgate and with JV partners
    • Manage contract applications
    • Complete billing sheets for the product line
  • Railroad Logistics
  • Organize and manage Ceres rail freight matrix for:
    • Ceres commodities and trade flows
    • Relevant rates and opportunities by trade flow corridor
  • Complete ongoing analyses of rail rates and railroad performance
    • Create proposals and play a key role in railroad negotiations
    • Track and educate the commercial team regarding railroad performance, renewals, and deadlines regarding contracted rates
    • Make recommendations to continuously improve the internal process and communication as it relates to rail rates
    • Assist in rail freight position management and reporting
    • Assist in supplementary rail charge disputes
    • Assist Freight Team with railcar billing during peak times
    • Assist Commercial Director and Freight Logistics Manager in all BNSF and CN Freight Auctions, CPKC freight allocations
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or required

What you'd need...

Qualifications:
  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field, or experience in lieu of degree
    • Must have 10+ years relevant work experience
    • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
    • Strong ability to work in a team environment
