Position Summary:

As a Lead Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading functions within the Warehouse, while supporting coaching and training for other team members. You will act as a go-to resource for the Warehouse team and be accountable for ensuring high quality standards are met for all outgoing product. You will use digital systems for all shipping and receiving processes, as well as for communicating across the department.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our growing Warehouse team. Take the lead in creating engaging training materials and supporting the onboarding process for future Material Handlers. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in shaping the success of our expanding factory.

This position will start out on day shift. The first several months of this role are project-related with the goal of planning and developing the Warehouse department as we approach operational startup. This position will require travel up to 25% for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations within the U.S.

Once the Williamsburg Township facility reaches operational startup, the schedule will be either 6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am, operating on 2-2-3 schedule (two days on, two days off, three days on).

There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directly support the warehouse team by leading kick-off meetings at the start of shift, coach and train team members as needed, and effectively communicate goals and operational plans as instructed by Warehouse SupervisorsConduct trailer inspections and support shipping functions including case picking, loading and related processes to ensure customer satisfactionSupport receiving functions including unloading trailers, inspecting products and ensuring product is placed into correct storage areas. Repair damaged products as needed.Maintain warehouse sanitation practices, support partial pallet consolidation, cycle counts and physical inventory countsActively participate in all factory Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement initiativesBasic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of material handling, shipping and receiving or related functions within a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment1+ years of forklift operating experienceExperience facilitating trainings, preferably within a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, industrial or related environmentOther:

Must be willing to travel up to 25% for training purposes until factory operational startup. The approximate hourly pay for this position is $29. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
