The City of Coronado is Accepting Applications for theManagement AnalystApplicants for this position may be used to fill Management Analyst recruitments for other City divisions.Department:The Department of Public Services and Engineering is responsible for maintaining the City’s physical infrastructure and maintenance for the City’s beaches, facilities, parks, sanitary sewer and storm drain systems, and rights of way while protecting the public’s health and safety. The department also provides engineering management, including planning, design, construction, and repair of the City’s buildings, parks, streets, and utility systems in addition to management of a wide range of services and programs.The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated and have strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. A background in project management, process improvements, contracts, procurement and/or grant administration, within a municipal government environment, is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience working with budgets, construction/capital improvement projects, and quality improvement. This role will be working as part of a nine-member administrative team to provide administrative and operational support to the Public Services and Engineering Department and procurement support to other City departments.Experience:At least three (3) years of responsible professional-level administrative or analytical experience.Education/Training:Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:Budget management including but not limited to transportation fund administration-TransNet, RMRA, HUTA.Procurement best practices and industry standards.Experience and knowledge in public works and capital improvement program management and/or administration.Experience working with Finance, Asset Management, and Contract Lifecycle Management platforms is highly desirable, i.e., Tyler Munis, GIS, Civic Plus, and/or Sharepoint.High-level experience/proficiency working with advanced Microsoft (i.e., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, dashboard development, import data to and from Excel).Examination & Selection ProcessApplication Review Phase:

Applicants considered most qualified after the application review process will be invited to participate in an oral panel interview (100%).
