However, can accept traveler with MSL at point of signing. Traveler must apply for AK license ASAP after signing. Since AK BON takes 10-12 weeks to process a new license, Alaska Native Medical Center will accept compact license WITH proof that traveler has applied in FULL for AK license to start on time.Travelers may checking nurses off who need to be PICU trained. They would have PICU assignments but with an orientee. This would not be their primary assignment but it may occur.Ratios: The pediatric floor ratios are 1:4. PICU 1:2. Ventilated patients are usually 1:1 due to the geography of the unit and the difficulty of doubling up ventilated patients. We do not have a pod structure. We have CNAs and a med clerk as our support staff.
