The Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) Specialist is a creative and motivated individual responsible for executing the Louisiana SPCA's social media, website, and email marketing strategies. This role is essential in raising awareness of the organization's animal resources and engaging the public.

Direct Reporting: The MARCOM Specialist reports into the Marketing and Communications Manager and collaborates with team members throughout the organization to create and curate content including but not limited to copy, images (photo and video), graphics, and branded collateral.

The ideal candidate will ensure the LASPCA website is up-to-date and user-friendly for both those seeking services and those supporting the organization's mission. They will develop and implement digital and print marketing campaigns, measuring their effectiveness to inform future strategies.

Responsibilities:

Digital Content and Market Trends:

Creates new digital content, including graphic design, that drives traffic to LASPCA and attracts new supporters and clients.Monitors, reports and analyzes digital trends and usage through Google Analytics and provides insights and strategies to improve customer experience and effectiveness.Maintains all Louisiana SPCA's digital platforms and provides recommendations for updates.Strategy and Campaigns:

Leads, creates and collaborates on all internal and external marketing campaigns.Creates and implements targeted email strategies that provides the email list with relevant and engaging content on a regular basis[JA1]Crafts engaging and compelling mission-aligned digital communication to drive the acquisition of donors, volunteers, staff and fosters.Communication Design and Creation:

Ensures branding is aligned throughout all digital content and provides updates when necessary.Designs visual communication components for newsletters, donor touchpoints, marketing campaigns, graphics, blogs, and other internal and external communication pieces.Creates brand-specific compelling content, including language and visuals, that resonates with diverse audiences on social platforms to build relationships and improve engagement.Internal Compliance and Support:

Leads, supports, and trains internal stakeholders to ensure all digital and print communications are delivering consistent messages, graphics, and images.Maintains an organized and focused campaign strategy resulting in the ability to respond to emergent topics and time-sensitive opportunities[JA2]Responds to internal requests for content creation and assists on internal needs.Tests and troubleshoots issues related to email templates and HTMLEducation and Experience:

BA/BS Degree in communications, marketing, or related fieldA minimum of 2 years professional experience in digital marketing requiredA minimum of 2 years of Social Media experience requiredMinimum Qualifications, Skills or Knowledge:

Proficient in content management systems (CMS)Proficient in Meta Business SuiteExcellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft OfficeProficient in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and HTML/CSSExcellent computer skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new softwareExperience directly creating and producing integrated multi-channel digital campaigns and advertising/promotion on social platforms (e.g., Facebook/Instagram ads and targeting)Knowledgeable about social media trends and best practices engaging constituents across all mediumsTeam player with excellent problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written skills, as well as organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to be self-motivated and disciplinedAbility to proactively recognize needs, balance multiple projects, manage daily workload, and prioritize tasksPhysical Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform strenuous physical activities including frequent walking and running, standing, bending, and stooping.Should not be allergic to animals or nuts; must be able to work around all animals and nut products.Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants.Working Conditions:

Works in areas with high noise levelsPotentially subject to animal bites and scratches

Pay rate range: $17.00 - $22.50/hour based on experience
