Our client is seeking strong women's designer with focus on denim and/or woven background with better women's apparel. This role is onsite in their midtown office in NYC. Possibly temp to perm for the right candidate. The Associate designer will be responsible for supporting the design team as well as assisting the designer for all Women's Denim product categories and channels.
Responsibilities:Assist Designer on seasonal sketches and trim details to support design intentSupport fit development: assist in sketch pass off, organization and agenda for fit sessions/reviews, sketch updates thru development and bulk stages during fittingsAssist on product development functions & processes: Tech pack creation and line finalizationTrend and Runway research for new ideas and concept developmentSupport on all trim developmentsSupport and organize seasonal category design presentations for leadership reviewsRequired Qualifications:
Minimum 2-4 years of working in design, denim design is a plusEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design preferredEfficient in creating flats by illustrator sketchingMust be technically skilled with understanding of garment construction & denim fit requirementsHas basic knowledge of denimHas basic knowledge of tech pack creationDetail oriented with superior organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Photoshop, illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, and PLM/Centric systemsIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
