We’re now seeking a savvy account director/marketing director to join the collaborative team in our Washington DC or Alexandria, VA office.

The marketing director serves as the primary day-to-day contact for his/her clients. This position is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance as well as ensuring the profitability and success of multiple clients’ marketing campaigns. The marketing director is responsible for the development and execution of highly creative and effective marketing solutions for the client. This person will work with his/her marketing strategist and agency specialists to ensure that the clients’ needs are met by monitoring and guiding his/her internal team’s activities and by maintaining proactive, direct contact with his/her clients. The marketing director will work closely with the marketing strategist to inform the client’s strategic marketing direction and ensure the campaign’s success. As an agency, we value both human interaction and flexibility - our current hybrid work model requires 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.

Work closely with creative, paid media, and analytics teams, as well as clients and external partners, to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment of campaigns.

Articulate campaign goals, deliverables, and timelines clearly to ensure all stakeholders are aligned from the outset.

Oversee and review all campaign materials to maintain brand integrity and ensure messaging consistency across all channels and deliverables.

Explore and implement cutting-edge marketing techniques and technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness and stay ahead of industry trends.

Utilize data and insights to create tailored marketing approaches for different audience segments, ensuring precise targeting and personalized messaging.

Track key performance indicators, generate insights, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization to meet or exceed client goals.

Maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing needs and exceeding expectations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience required. 5+ years of marketing experience strongly preferred

Marketing agency, B2B event and/or association experience strongly preferred

Bachelor’s degree in related field (in marketing, public relations, communications or general business) preferred

Superior language, grammar and communication skills required

Track record of success developing and nurturing client relationships required

Ability to apply marketing insights and ideas to client objectives required

Ability to effectively lead an internal marketing team required

Excellent project management skills required

A great attitude, a willingness to learn and master new skills and a commitment to excellence required
