Head of AI Product Development (SW/HW)
Our client is an early-stage startup building THE software that will unlock the true potential of computing and revolutionize how network infrastructure supports AI workloads, bringing artificial intelligence to the world.They're seeking an experienced Head of Product Development to work closely with the CEO in defining and building a product roadmap from scratch. This is a "zero to one" opportunity—transforming raw ideas and insights into scalable, impactful products.Their team is small, and the work is hands-on. this role is not for you.Conversely, if you’re excited by the idea of rolling up your sleeves, collaborating with creative problem-solvers, and taking on the most significant challenge in computer engineering to define the future of AI, then this is the opportunity for you.What You’ll DoWork directly with the CEO to translate high-level product ideas into actionable plans.Conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and assess competitive landscapes.Identify integration opportunities with cloud compute platforms to strategically expand the reach of their software across multiple semiconductor hardware vendors and cloud service providers (CSPs).Product DevelopmentBuild product roadmap for Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) layer that integrates with multiple vendor’s hardware, CSP partners MLOPs software and other integration points so that end customers (Enterprise AI) can use their software across hardware vendors and CSPs, as well as the supporting toolkit for software stack and release schedule.This includes working with Engineering teams to build a scalable platform that connects seamlessly with partner hardware and software, ensuring a unified experience across diverse environments.Customer-Centric FocusBe the voice of the customer, deeply understanding their needs—especially those they might not yet realize they have.Gather insights from real-world stories and provide feedback to Client’s internal teams to guide the creation of products that deliver real value.Cross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other departments to ensure the product meets the needs of the business and its customers.Over time, lead a growing team in the Product group including product managers, engineers, and customer success professionals, overseeing all aspects of product development and strategy.QualificationsYour background in large-scale distributed systems, AI/ML technologies, and cloud infrastructure will help guide product decisions. You should understand the full stack of AI/ML training and inference, and possess in-depth knowledge of cloud orchestration, PaaS platforms, and modern machine learning frameworks. Additionally:You have significant experience building products from the ground up, especially in high-growth startup environments.You have a strong engineering background, with expertise in software infrastructure, compilers, and distributed systems.AI/ML and cloud experience is highly preferred.You’re able to translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable product strategies.You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy wearing many hats, and can scale product organizations over time.Most of all... you are passionate about tackling big challenges and building products that have a meaningful, widespread impact on the world.Seniority level
