Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant/Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and a strong understanding of various platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Canva, CapCut), trends, and best practices. This role involves working with a small startup company to handle administrative tasks as well as developing engaging content, managing social media accounts, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance our online presence and brand awareness.
Duties
Develop and implement innovative social media marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.
Create high-quality content across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Conduct thorough research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Handle administrative tasks such as taking notes in meetings and following up with business contacts.
Research new opportunities for product sales and develop plans for rolling out new products.
Manage company website and make edits to Shopify websites.
Utilize social listening tools to monitor brand mentions and audience sentiment.
Collaborate with the owners to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns.
Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand voice.
Manage paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to drive traffic and conversions.
Utilize SEO best practices in content creation to improve search engine rankings.
Capture high-quality photography for use in social media posts and campaigns.
Analyze performance metrics using analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
Proven experience in social media marketing with a strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns.
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software for content creation.
Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in written communication.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their integration with social media strategies is a plus.
Knowledge of advertising principles on various social media channels.
Strong understanding of SEO principles as they relate to content creation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
