This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Data Analyst, specializing in Data Governance, to join our dynamic Human Resources Analytics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and quality of HR data across our systems. This position requires a deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and technical expertise in data management. You will be leading the development and maturity of data governance policies and procedures ensuring data quality, integrity, and security for HR. You will partner with HR, Enterprise Technology, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure compliance with data governance policies as data flows between HR systems and data analytics platforms and deliverables. You will collaborate cross functionally, have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and be able to operate successfully both strategically and tactically. Additional special projects and analysis may be assigned by management. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Analytics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborate with HR, Enterprise Technology, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures that ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

Define and enforce data standards and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of HR data across the organization.

Socialize and Educate data governance policies and practices across HR and Blue Origin.

Monitor and assess the effectiveness of data governance standards and procedures across the HR department.

Define data quality metrics and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with HR leadership to align data governance efforts with the overall strategic goals and objectives of the HR department and Blue Origin.

Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and other relevant departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on data governance initiatives.

Stay informed about changes in data privacy regulations and industry best practices and make recommendations for updates to HR data governance policies and procedures as needed.

Serve as a subject matter expert on HR data governance issues, providing guidance and support to HR staff and other stakeholders as needed.

Ensure data integration solutions are designed and built in alignment with data governance policies and practices.

Gain in-depth knowledge of HR systems (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone, Qualtrics) and their data structures.

Implement data security measures to protect sensitive HR data from unauthorized access and breaches.

Conduct regular audits to assess data compliance and security practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related business area.

6+ years’ experience in data governance, data integration, and data management preferably within the HR domain.

In-depth understanding of data compliance, security, and privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc).

Proven experience in data quality management, including the development and implementation of data quality standards, processes, and procedures.

Demonstrated knowledge of SQL.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Highly independent; can own & drive meaningful and sophisticated tracks of work.

Ability to work cross-functionally and build trust with multi-functional teams.

Comfortable operating in constantly evolving environments and creating clarity out of ambiguity.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

Solid understanding of HR systems and their data structures (Workday preferred).

Knowledge and understanding of data models.
