Job Description

Manufacturing co-ops have opportunities to complete technical assignments across a broad spectrum of plant responsibilities, including product development, quality, and safety.

Our program offers students the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills by working directly with engineering and production teams on projects that have a significant impact on the business.

Students will work directly with engineering team and shop floor employees to identify and execute process improvements in production areas. Other responsibilities will include the following:

Design and execute experiments to improve process reliability and material usage

Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to improve process efficiency in production environment

Assist technology and engineering teams with cost-out and material efficiency projects

Implement engineering controls to reduce and eliminate potential safety hazards

The benefits of the co-op / intern experience extend beyond the valuable work assignments. Students can participate in committees of their peers that offer opportunities to develop leadership skills, perform community service, interact and socialize with other students, and network with the leaders of the company. We also offer training courses to enhance our students' technical and professional skills.

QualificationsCurrently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or collegeMust have GPA of 3.0 or higherStrong record of academic achievementChallenging array of technical coursesSignificant leadership roles on campus or in the communityStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSolid analytical skillsPassion for engineeringStudents at Sophomore, Junior, Senior level preferred
