Pays $80 - $85/hr W2 (Depends Upon Experience)

As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), you will:

Design and Develop: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement robust backend systems that provide exceptional travel insurance services for guests worldwide.
Build Scalable Solutions: Utilize your expertise in large distributed systems to develop backend solutions that are reliable, performant, and scalable.
Resolve and Document: Lead the investigation and resolution of operational incidents, creating comprehensive documentation and platform improvements to enhance system reliability and minimize future issues.
Integrate Seamlessly: Ensure smooth and flexible integration of backend services with the overall insurance platform, driving efficiency and innovation.
Uphold Quality Standards: Maintain and promote a high standard of code quality, reliability, and best practices within the team.

Your Expertise:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with experience in developing backend services, including GraphQL.
Experimentation: Familiarity with growth engineering principles, such as A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer segmentation.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building high-quality products and effectively solving complex, ambiguous problems involving multiple teams and systems.
Leadership and Collaboration: Strong communication skills and experience leading cross-organizational projects, working closely with design, product, data science, and engineering teams to achieve shared goals.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
