The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the critical role in the Protective Operations Unit. As a member of the Protective Operations Unit, the Protective Operations Coordinator (POC) will report to the Clinical Manager for Field Support and work closely with the DCF central and area offices on matters related to the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA), the Central Office Incident Notification (COIN) process and Human Trafficking.Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)

:Report to Protective Operations Department.Assist manager with the Department’s identification and response to Human Trafficking cases.Assist manager with liaison responsibilities to the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA).Supervise the coordination and management of the Children’s Justice Act (CJA) Grant Supervisor.Manage the Central Office Incident Notification (COIN) internal process. Also support efforts to notify EHS and OCA of cases as appropriate.Assist and support the weekly COIN Review Team (CRT) meeting.Establish a collaborative and working relationship with the Massachusetts Children’s Alliance (MACA) and service providers to strengthen identification of CSEC situations.Participate in regional or area office meetings pertaining to human trafficking (HT) as needed.Collaborate with the Child Welfare Institute (CWI) for field training as appropriate.Assist in the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) review and practice.Assist supervisor in management of various grants.Required Qualifications

:A master’s degree in social work or a closely related human services degree.Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time child welfare social work experience.Experience as a social worker and a trainer in a public child welfare agency.Experience with training, and group facilitation.Social Worker License: LCSW or LICSW license preferred.Knowledge of DCF policies, programs, and procedures.Ability to maintain positive, collaborative relationships throughout DCF.TO APPLY
