Global Marketing Director - Nutrition & Wellness

We are seeking a Global Marketing Director for our Nutrition & Wellness business segment, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Nutrition and Wellness is at the forefront of testing and certifying dietary supplements, sports nutrition, cosmetics, and beauty products and is our fastest-growing segment at NSF. This role will spearhead efforts to shape the future of our business through market expansion, brand strategy, product innovation, and strategic partnerships.

Lead the development of a comprehensive global strategy for market segmentation and entry. Segment the market across key categories to tailor strategies for different consumer bases (e.g., professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and conscious consumers).

Design and build the brand strategy, including launching a new global brand that positions NSF as the leader in certification and testing within the Nutrition & Wellness category.

Explore new service development opportunities, such as solutions for emerging consumer needs, while ensuring alignment with market demand and regulatory trends.

Drive global expansion through geographic market entry.

Support and scale NSF's Retailer Trust Program, extending its impact with brick-and-mortar and online retailers.

Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key influencers and organizations (e.g., international anti-doping agencies, international sports leagues, and digital retailers), leveraging these relationships to expand market presence and penetrate competitor-held accounts.

Work with Standards, Toxicology, and Lab Teams to support the development of innovative testing methods, certification offers, and services.

Lead the identification and evaluation of potential M&A targets to support long-term business growth and geographic expansion.

Oversee global go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new offerings, ensuring alignment with NSF's value proposition and market positioning.

Develop the core brand narrative, messaging, and global content calendar (e.g., whitepapers, trade shows) in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive brand equity and thought leadership in the industry.

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement a global pricing strategy for testing and certification services, ensuring competitive positioning in key markets.

Own the marketing budget for the Nutrition & Wellness segment, ensuring efficient allocation to maximize ROI.

Set and manage performance targets, including sales KPIs, MQL volume, pipeline metrics, and campaign performance metrics at a global level.

Leverage Salesforce dashboards and analytics to track and report on regional marketing efforts, providing regular updates to the CCO and senior leadership team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in senior marketing roles, with a proven track record in consumer marketing, brand management, and retail marketing within the Nutrition, Wellness, or adjacent sectors.

Demonstrated success in developing and executing global marketing strategies for high-growth businesses, with a focus on international expansion and market entry.

Expertise in brand building, new product development, and scaling high-impact marketing programs globally.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior leadership.

Experience managing global budgets and leading teams in a matrixed environment.

Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing environments, with a focus on driving business outcomes.

Preferred that this candidate is located in Ann Arbor, MI - willing to consider remote for the right candidate.
