Although services are a bigger part of Apple’s business than ever before, these teams remain small, nimble, and cross-functional, offering greater exposure to the array of opportunities here.DescriptionAs an Engineer on the ASE Pricing team, you'll support Apple's provider portal integration with our financial system, provider onboarding, contracts, tax and banking, and payment report integration for all of Apple's digital content including apps, music, movies, and books on the App Store and iTunes Store. You will collaborate with multiple exciting engineering teams, business operations, production support, site reliability engineering, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include hands-on coding, design, requirements elicitation & refinement, technical documentation, production support, unit testing, quality, and performance. We promote innovation and new technology to further improve Apple's hardware performance and user experience.Minimum QualificationsExtensive experience with JavaOver 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable backend applicationsExperience crafting and implementing RESTful/RPC APIs and servicesSignificant experience with SQL databases like Oracle and NoSQL like CassandraStrong production, debugging, and performance tuning experiences and skillsExperience working on complex problems and distributed systems where scalability and performance are extremely important (every millisecond counts)Ability to adapt to and contribute to team best practices in coding patterns & standards across multiple code repositories, unit testing, and continuous deploymentAbility to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience with Scala and big data technologies such as Spark and Kafka is a plusExperience with compute/container platforms such as K8sAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
